Entrepreneurial Story: Li Guangzhu, father of James Lee. In 1971, he joined the military and became an anti-aircraft gunner in the Air Force. He was discharged in 1975 and worked as an electrician at Balibao Hospital in Erdao District, Changchun City. In 1979, he became the workshop director, party secretary, and committee member at the Changchun Laser Electrical Appliance Factory, where he was among the first in China to produce carbon dioxide lasers for clinical applications. In 1986, he ventured into business and founded Chun Cheng Laser Electrical Appliance Factory. He continuously innovated and developed various laser devices, obtaining numerous patents. In 1996, he developed the Nd:yag laser for Korea for the first time. In 2001, he developed a photon skin beauty device. In 2004, he participated in the "Three Represents in Jilin" event and attended a high-level forum at the Great Hall of the People. Subsequently, his son James Lee inherited and elevated the business and technology to new heights.
In 1997, James Lee entered the medical beauty market with his father, Li Guangzhu, jointly developing and producing beauty instrument equipment. In 2000, James Lee felt his technical skills had reached a bottleneck. After much contemplation, he decided to go to Korea alone for further studies. He worked in various frontline positions, such as an assembler, repairman, and after-sales service representative at a Korean beauty equipment company. He gradually became a member of the company's R&D team to learn more advanced R&D technologies and concepts in the Korean beauty equipment industry.
During his two years in Korea, James Lee often heard Koreans sarcastically say, "This thing is just like Chinese goods!" when they bought inferior products. Hearing foreigners disparage the country that nurtured him, James Lee felt a mixture of emotions but could only retort, "Not all Chinese goods are like that!"
